UX & DESIGN SYSTEMS
Making complex products easier to understand, trust and ship.
I work with UX and product teams at the intersection of visual design, motion, systems and communication, turning complex ideas into consistent experiences and implementation ready decisions.

BRIDGING PRODUCT, CRAFT & IMPLEMENTATION
From design systems and prototypes to interaction motion, research visualization and stakeholder communication.
Design
Systems
Building shared foundations that keep products consistent across teams, languages and handoffs.
Interaction
Motion
Defining motion patterns that make states, feedback and AI interactions clear and consistent.
Research Communication
Turning research and product thinking into visuals that support better team decisions.
Implementation Support
Translating design intent into clear specifications and reusable assets teams can confidently ship.

Visual Designer Lead (NDA)

Designing clarity into a
complex cloud experience.

Intro
A global cloud console UX team was designing across two languages, markets and locations.
Product designers, researchers, PMs and engineers needed a shared visual foundation for building product experiences, defining AI interactions and communicating decisions to leadership.
My role was to help create that connective layer.
challenge
One product. Two teams. One shared language. Working across Toronto and China introduced more than a language difference.
Components needed to behave consistently. Motion needed a shared logic. Research needed to communicate clearly across cultures. Product decisions needed to survive the handoff between design, engineering and leadership.
Without that common foundation, small inconsistencies could quickly become separate ways of building the same product.
The goal was to make clarity part of the system.
MY ROLE
Bridging product thinking and visual execution, I embedded with the Cloud Console UX team as Visual Designer and Motion Graphics Lead.
My work connected four areas:
Design systems: Creating a shared visual foundation across teams and languages.
Interaction motion: Defining how states, feedback and AI moments behave over time.
Human AI interaction: Helping establish principles and tools for connecting user needs with AI capabilities.
Product communication: Turning research and product thinking into stories leadership could understand and act on.
I moved between visual craft, prototyping, documentation and communication depending on what the team needed.

structure
The foundation was a 200+ component design system covering the full cloud console UX surface, including illustration assets and interactive prototypes. Components were built to flex across both language contexts without requiring parallel maintenance. The system gave both teams a single source of truth they could actually use without a translator in the room.

Interaction
Making behavior as consistent as appearance, a design system also needs to explain what happens between states.
For AI assistant experiences, I created more than 10 microanimation patterns covering timing, easing, feedback and interaction behavior.
Each pattern included visual examples and implementation specifications so designers and developers could work from the same motion intent.

The result was a shared vocabulary for how AI interactions should look, feel and respond.

HAI
GUIDELINES
Alongside the motion work, I contributed to the Human AI Interaction guidelines and visual toolkit.
The framework helped PMs, designers and developers connect user problems with appropriate AI solutions while giving both teams a common language for discussing emerging interaction patterns.
The goal was not simply to add AI features. It was to make those features understandable, useful and connected to real user needs.

Research
Research and vision work only creates impact when other people can understand it.
I created research visualizations, presentation systems and a stakeholder vision video supporting the Cloud Console redesign, AI integration and HAI initiatives.
These artifacts helped turn complex research and product thinking into stories that could move through the organization and support decision making.

IMPACT
Clarity across design, development and communication.
The result was a system that helped the team build, communicate
& ship without visual language becoming another source of friction.

For Humans
Clarity reduces friction.
Consistency builds confidence.
Good UX helps people understand what is happening and what they can do next.
It creates familiar patterns, clear feedback and enough consistency for people to move through a product without having to relearn it at every step.
The best product systems do more than organize components. They help users and teams make better decisions.
🧭
Clear interactions
Making actions, states and outcomes easy to understand.
🧩
Consistent patterns
Creating behaviors that remain familiar across screens, features and flows.
🌐
Flexible systems
Building foundations that adapt across teams, languages and changing product needs.
🛠️
Practical handoffs
Turning design intent into specifications and assets teams can actually implement.
🛡️
Design For Trust
Products feel trustworthy when interactions are clear, systems stay consistent and implementation preserves the original intent.
